Tips for getting your family active

You’ve just logged eight hours at work and are dreading the 30 minute (give or take) drive home. It’s 5 p.m. when you left work, meaning by the time you get home, it will be closer to 5:30 p.m. – if you are lucky. You walk in the door and immediately are greeted by your kiddo(s). And since it’s a nice day out, they want to go to the park, ride their bike or play catch. But you just worked eight hours … or more. The last thing YOU want to go is head back out. However, that is the BEST thing for you! (And I can see you all rolling your eyes right now saying, “What about dinner?” Next week’s blog will be about QUICK and HEALTHY meals … no worries, I got you covered!)

But not only is getting outdoors good for YOU, it’s GREAT for kids! A brisk walk, a trip to the park, a bike ride through your neighborhood, a running race on your front lawn … YOU name it, anything can be fun for a kid!
